Walt Peregoy

Bio

Disney Legend Walt Peregoy started working for The Walt Disney Studios as an in-betweener in 1942 at the age of 17. Soon thereafter, he joined the Coast Guard for three years, after which he continued his art education in Mexico and Paris. Upon his return to Disney in 1951, he was a designer and animator on Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp. Peregoy was lead background painter on Sleeping Beauty. He is probably most well-known for his outstanding color and background work for the 1961 animated feature, 101 Dalmatians. His work is also featured in architectural facades at Epcot. Walt Peregoy, now 84 years old, has drawn, painted and sculpted for 78 years and continues to do so.
